We managed to get out locally even with the wind and rain a couple of times this past week, including this morning. It was wet, cold, windy, but the fish were biting. We managed 16 stripers with two over 32-inches on 7-inch White Fin-S Fish, and four inch shad bodies on jig heads. There were also some big bluefish early up to 12-pounds but they took off right after the tide changed. We didn't see one other boat out fishing, but then again we didn't go that far. Fish is a lot better than it had been last year and has improved dramactically since July and August. The water is clear, the alge has died, and there is plenty of bait around. Hope it last's a lot longer.
