Bottom fishing inside Narragansett Bay is simply off the charts. The bay is loaded with scup (porgy's), black sea bass, and fluke. It's some of the best bottom fishing we've had is decades. If you are looking for meat for the table, then now is the time to do it.
Bluefish are also available and many of them are in the 8 to 14 lbs. range. Chunking and trolling is producing some big bluefish in both the upper and lower bay area.
Tube and worms are accounting for keeper size stripers as well on good tides. The hot tube has been T-Man's black and red Snake tipped with a live sea worm and trolled at about 15 to 20 feet down, less than 2-knots. Many of the fish are 27 to 34 inches long.
