Fishing Reports 2010>
White Ghost Newsletter No. 2

November 10, 2009

This winter we will be at all the major sportsmen shows througout New England, as well as New York, New Jersey and the new show in Pennsylvania.
At the shows this year there will be a new format titled, "
Advanced Saltwater Fishing Techniques". There will be five professional speakers giving the best information possible on fishing tips and techniques that help them put fish in the boat on a daily basis. Be sure to watch for this new seminar series at the shows for 2010. It will definately be worth the time spent going to one of these seminars.
In March of 2010, specifically, the 12th-13th and 14th, we will be hosting a weekend long seminar series titled, "Shallow Water Striper Univeristy". It will be the first seminar type of its kind in our area.
The show will begin Friday the 12th at 4 pm and will open with a live-pool demonstration on how to rig and fish the most popular soft plastic baits for stripers. This is a unique opportunity to see first hand how these baits should be used, rigged, and worked in the water. We have the use of a 40-foot swimming pool with crystal clear water so everyone will get to see how the baits actually work or should be worked under fishing conditions. The education of this night is worth years of trial and error fishing. The demonstration will be given by myself and I'll be assisted by Herb Reed, owner of Lunker City Lures and the inventor of the Slug-Go and Fin-S Fish, two of the most effective soft plastic lures ever invented by anyone. The knowledge to be gained is emmense to say the least. You don't want to miss this special night.
The pool area can accomodate at least 60-anglers at one time around the pool itself and no one will be standing behind anyone else so everyone will get to see what is happening, as well as asking any questions to both me and Herb Reed.
Friday night will also feature FREE Hot Dogs and Pitchers of Beer! So what is better than that. There will also be about 30 to 40 vendors there to show their new tackle for the 2010 season, charter boat operators and much more.
Saturday and Sunday are full days of continuing seminars with a total focus on how to catch striped bass and striped bass only. We have a dozen of the best experts that will show you and explain how they catch striped bass consistently year after year. The educational value of this seminar series is priceless.
The cost for the entire weekend seminar series is only $89 per angler. Each angler will get a tackle bag just for signing up when he enters the show.
The show will be held at the Sheraton Airport Inn on Post Road in Warwick, RI. They have a bar, resturant, pool, (not avaialble Friday night unless you want to swim with lures in water) and an area for dining avaialble only to show participants. The hotel if offering special rates for that weekend of $89 per room, double occupancy, so if you come with a friend it's only $45 for the weekend each night. Right before the fishing season begins you couldn't find a better way to spend a weekend.
We will also be raffling off, FREE CHARTER trips with some of the best captains in our area. There will be a total of 24 spots avaialbe for a free charter day of fishing. Only those in attendance will be eligible for the trips. There are 125 spots avaialbe for anglers, so that's a one in five chance of winning the trip of a lifetime as well.
We'd also like to mention that this seminar series is a great Christmas Gift for the guy or gal who has everything. It makes holdiday shopping easy as well as affordable. In these tough economic times you could give the gift of education which will go on giving throughout the entire summer and for years to come. What better gift could you possibily find?
To register, send your check made out to Shallow Water Striper University, C/O Wood Boat & Motor, 3630 West Shore Road, Warwick, RI 02886. Attention Debbie Wood. You will receive a letter of confirmation when your check is received.
Don't miss this very special event. Sign-up today to secure your spot.
