Jim White
By Nick Curcione
Over the years I’ve been fortunate to fish with some of the best guides in the business and for pure passion and love of the sport, Jim White is the one who first comes to mind. I met Jim back in 2000 when I moved to CT. and fished with him on Lefty Kreh’s recommendation. Jim is a veritable encyclopedia of knowledge when it comes to his Rhode Island home waters and he’s put me on to some of my best days ever fly fishing stripers in the shallows. If the big guys are around you can bet that Jim is dialed in to their exact location and my largest bass have all been taken on his boat.
Aside from his expertise, one of the qualities I most admire about Jim is his dedication to preserving the fishery for future generations. He has unselfishly devoted thousands of hours to conservation efforts and projects. He said to me once that he wants his grandson to enjoy the same great experiences he’s had in his lifetime on the water. I think that says it all.

"In 15-years of shotting shows for television, I still haven't caught as many fish in one shoot, as I have fishing in Narragansett Bay wtih Capt Jim. His fishery is simply amazing. One of the best I've ever seen anywhere.

Capt Jim White is one of true professional's. I have fished with him many times, and we've become very good friends. Jim knows his fishery like no other, and well he should after doing it for more than 40-years of being on the water. I highly recommend him for your next guided trip in New England.
